Kagome- Kagome is a middle schooler with all the spiritual power of a priestess. She is the reincarnation of Kikyo the one who put the spell on InuYasha. Kagome removed the spell on InuYasha and travels with him while every now and then goes home for a break.

Shippo- A young fox demon that now travels with InuYasha and Kagome. His father died in the hand of the Thunder Brothers, and every since InuYasha defeated them he has been by their side.

Miroku- A lecherous monk that has a wind tunnel in his right hand inflicted by Naraku. He travels with InuYasha and Kagome to defea Naraku for if not he will eventually get sucked in aand meet the same fate as his grandfather and father.

Sango-she's a demon exterminator who's village was slaughtered by Naraku and his demons.Now she travls with InuYasha and Kagome avenge her family and friends, and to also free he bother kohaku from bieng controlled by Naraku.

Sesshomaru- He is InuYasha's older brother and a full demon. He's after tetsaiga InuYasha's sword that had once belonged to their father.

Rin and Jaken- They both follow Sesshomaru. Rin was revived by Sesshomaru when she was killed by Koga's wolfs.

Koga- Koga is the leader of the wolf demon tribe and despises InuYasha. Every time he meets with InuYasha an argument breaks out, the main reason is their feelings toward Kagome.

Naraku- An evil Half demon who was once human. His plans are to gather and get all the jewel shards. Naraku is despicable he turns everyone against each other and dose not like to get his hands dirty.

Kagura- She is a demon made by Naraku, she herself is the wind and is trying to find a way to kill Naraku to be free.

Kanna- Kanna is also created by Naraku and is Kagura's sister. Kanna has a mirror that entraps souls.

Kikyo- The Priestess that inflicted the spell upon InuYasha . She was revived by the evil witch Uresuya. And is trying to kill InuYasha for claiming to betray her.
